Who will save the Girl Child?
Saturday, 24th September was International Girl Child Day. This article is quite informative about the issue. The question is, with these kind of incidents happening in our country, are we really progressing as a nation?
You won't believe I have a friend who is super qualified and has a super qualified husband. They are settled in Germany with high paying jobs and a son. She is pregnant for the second time and she is praying for a son. People are so shallow these days!

True…
I will say…situation is improving. Steadily though. I have a few friends blessed with babies, and I don't think..that they were biased in any way. Education..and mostly knowing the fact that girls are capable of doing and achieving every thing…the situation isn't that bad..But, yeah..in remote areas and villages…where education hasn't reached yet..a lot is left to be desired!
seems like an eternal tragedy… sad
Well Kunal, I hope the situation improves..
Very well conveyed! Bravo.

If you kill all the girls who will marry your boys??
very well conveyed, however i guess in recent times the situation has changed drastically.. at least as an overview..
@Menachery:Maybe…however I read in the news that these incidents have been increasing in districts with good literacy, income…
@Purba:good question…what would this life be without girls right? not very fun
@Chintan:Thanks!! 😀
We have friends, educated and all, who have four daughters trying to have a boy. finally gave up — probably thinking that getting five girls married off would be a little too much, if the fifth one happened to be a girl too!
Very well conveyed buddy! It's time people are educated on the issue.
Thanks Vijay!!
This is so true..even today such thoughts prevails 🙁
a very well conveyed message Rahul 🙂
@GB:Yeah unfortunately…
@Sunita:Thanks..
